So happy to have our very first Ugandan coffee! From the Rwenzori region and Kensinga washing station, we couldn't have wished for a better representative. Despite not exhibiting the "fruit bomb" nature of some of the better known east-African coffees, Grape notes will be what you first notice in the light to medium roast levels, accompanied by herbaciousness, along with Raspberry, and a winey tinge. These don't present all at-once, but are more evident in stages as the cup cools. Moderate acidity with a medium body, this is a great gateway coffee for those looking at exploring flavor profiles out side of the more traditional chocolate and nutty-toned versions.
While this is our first Ugandan, it won't be our last!
